- Hi,
-
- I do not understand what the APD is that you are mentioning. I suspect that it
- is not relevant to this problem and will treat it as such. If this is not the
- case, let me know and I will do some more research for you.
-
- ATPS.NLM v3.1 (shipped with NW3MAC 3.01) can publish queues (that are serviced
- by non-AppleTalk printers) to the Macintosh clients. You would use the -WB
- flag on the ATPS.CFG command line. In doing so, you would publish a queue that
- ATPS.NLM "thinks" is not attached to a printer (-WB means WITHOUT BACKEND--or
- no AppleTalk print server). Under these conditions, ATPS.NLM "assumes" that
- the user will attach this queue to a printer with the user's print server of
- choice.
-
- Apparently you already have the print queue/server already set up as your DOS
- clients can print to these printers. Just make sure you can print PostScript to
- the printers (this is important because the Macintosh can only print PS.---I
- know, you have already done this but the point is worth stating...). Once you
- have done this, just add the following line to ATPS.CFG
-
- -o "Queue Name" -WB -L -F FONTFILE
-
- Please consult your manual for full descriptions of the above parameters. I
- will not elaborate on them here. If you need to upgrade ATPS.NLM, please
- upgrade your entire NW4MAC package to v3.011 (ATPS.NLM v3.11). You will find
- many other features have been added to this latest product.
-
- There is no need to get a LocalTalk interface for the printer if you do not
- already have one...
-
- Think Peace...
