- Here is a weird one which has just shown up since I upgraded to DOS
- 5.0 on my Novell 2.2 net.
-
- The network works fine except when a user tries to logout.
- Occasionally the system asks to put a disk with command.com into the
- boot drive when the user logs out. Comspec is set in the system log
- script ok. After a long detective search here is the pattern.
-
- If a user tries to do a DIR abc.def where abc.def does not exist
- dos replies with a file not found. If they then logout the computer
- spins the boot drive looking for command.com. If the user does the
- same thing but runs any com or exe after the dir and then logsout
- all is OK. Weird! Anyone know why or how to solve.
