- Buried someplace in the PageMaker manuals, Aldus states that PageMaker
- has trouble printing to certain spoolers when you use the Aldus printer
- drivers AND have background spooling turned on in chooser.
-
- Soooooo, there are a couple ways around this. One, if you hold down the
- option key (I think) when selecting print, PageMaker will use the Apple
- print drivers. I do not know of a way of making PageMaker always use
- the Apple drivers, except maybe using resedit. Two, turn off background
- printing. Using a spooler makes this option not hurt so much.
-
- I have tried both the above methods casually, and they both worked fine
- in my simple tests.
-
- The PM docs list reasons to use/not use the Aldus drivers, but there isn't
- much of a reason, IMHO.
