  17. Buried someplace in the PageMaker manuals, Aldus states that PageMaker
  18. has trouble printing to certain spoolers when you use the Aldus printer
  19. drivers AND have background spooling turned on in chooser.

  21. Soooooo, there are a couple ways around this.  One, if you hold down the
  22. option key (I think) when selecting print, PageMaker will use the Apple
  23. print drivers.  I do not know of a way of making PageMaker always use
  24. the Apple drivers, except maybe using resedit.  Two, turn off background
  25. printing.  Using a spooler makes this option not hurt so much.

  27. I have tried both the above methods casually, and they both worked fine
  28. in my simple tests.

  30. The PM docs list reasons to use/not use the Aldus drivers, but there isn't
  31. much of a reason, IMHO.
