- A teacher in our school district has a Novell network that is running
- ARCNET. The file server is an IBM PS@/80 and there are 10 workstations
- on the net. For quite some time, her network has suffered a re-curring
- problem that no one seems to know how to fix. For some unknown reason,
- the entire system will shut down and, on the file server monitor, the
- message: RUNNING PROCESS MUXPRC appears. To get the system operational,
- it must be totally shut down and re-started.
-
- Does anyone know:
- 1. What does the message RUNNING PROCESS MUXPRC mean?
- 2. What causes this problem?
- 3. How to avoid this problem?
- 4. Anyone else who might be able to help?
-
- Thanks in advance for any help/advice! bcnu, ters
