- Maybe someone else knows better, but as far as I know, you attach a
- Novell client to a server using a IPX tunnel inside of IP, thus it is a
- point to point attach, with the client knowing the servers address.
- Because NETBIOS is emulated on top of IPX, full NETBIOS services should be
- available. I remember talk of a "native" mode Novell client, which means
- putting NCP onto TCP/IP, but there is no product like that now. I presume,
- that if there is such a product, NETBIOS will once again be done in
- emulation, but just how the NETBIOS broadcasts would be handled in a TCP/IP
- world, I don't know. All the more reason to migrate away from NETBIOS ASAP
- anyway.
