  13. As many of you are no doubt aware, if there is a problem with the desktop
  14. files, it is not possible to recreate them using system 7 due to sys7 not
  15. recreating the desktop files on appleshare servers.

  17. The straight fix is to rebuild the files after booting from a system 6.0.7
  18. floppy. Fine, this works and you get icons back.
  19.  
  20. But, you don't get the nice 3d colour icons that sys7 has for some
  21. applications - only the B&W ones.

  23. I know that this is fairly trivial, but does someone have an idea of how to
  24. get those icons back? The only solution that I can see is to reload the
  25. software from floppies again :(

  27. This would be acceptable if I only had to do it once, but I've been hearing
  28. that the desktop files get corrupted rather often....
  29.  
  30. Any and all suggestions gratefully received.
