- I have, until recently, been using the printers we have connected to a Unix
- machine to do printing from our V3.11 network (using the Novell lpr print
- gateway - NFS version 1.2). Now I have a HP printer local to the network,
- and I would like to connect it to my server.
-
- When I set this up (as printer 0) and start pserver, I get a message that the
- port is already in use.
-
- The pserver is started before the network printer stuff (before all network
- stuff except binding the Enet cards, in fact), and the network printers are
- configured as numbers 1 and 2.
-
- I can attach this printer to a workstation, and use rprinter, if it is
- configured as printer number 3.
-
- Am I doing something obviously wrong, or does this just not work, or what?
