  11. This is a naive question perhaps. I want someone's opinion concerning
  12. the utility or advantage of installing the SLIP package available
  13. at the archives. I know  of course how useful it is to be on 
  14. the net, but what I need is a speed comparison and conveniency
  15. comparison between SLIP with a V.32 modem and my present setup, 
  16. where I use UUCP for mail and dial out with MicroPhone to access
  17. my account on the university's network, ftp to sites, obtain files, 
  18.  
  19. then z or x modem them here. Is it worth the money / trouble?
