- I don't know if there's better scanner software for the NeXT than
- HSD's PowerScan, but I do know that it is in no way comparable to
- the old Scan-X software, which, I agree, was junk. This time, they
- did _lots_ of testing and fixing and improving before the release.

- PowerScan is fairly well designed and works well. One warning:
- it's not fancy in terms of either functionality or interface, but
- it seems to be a good, usable piece of software that does somewhat
- more than you'd minimally expect (rather than somewhat less) and
- does it fairly reliably.

- I'm _very_ glad we're using it instead of Scan-X. PowerScan is
- good.
