- Why wouldn't it be able to read standard SGI disks as well as 9660
- disks? The only problem I have ever had mixing between vendors drives
- and systems is in booting. Though I have used many of the combinations
- between DEC, Sun and SGI (thats six possibilities right?) I haven't
- tried with any NeXT equipment.
- Or more specifically, why wouldn't a SCSI command to read a certain
- block work the same on the NeXT CD as it does with any other SCSI
- device? As long as the returned blocks make sense to the machine,
- the data should be "readable". Am I missing something here?
