- I have placed a new release of Common Music on ccrma-ftp.stanford.edu
-
- (36.49.0.93) and guido.zkm.de (192.101.28.17) in the file
- pub/cm.tar.Z. Common Music is a public domain music composition
- language implemented in Common Lisp and CLOS that outputs music
- (directly or through scorefiles) to a variety of synthesis packages,
- such as the Music Kit, Common Lisp Music, MIDI, CSound, etc.
-
- The main new pieces of functionality are a composition editor called
- Stella that supports both algorithmic and editorial styles of
- composition, and a full port of Common Music to the Macintosh under
- Macintosh Common Lisp 2.0.
-
-
- Common Music runs on the following machine/lisp combinations:
-
- NeXT 2.1, 3.0 ACL 3.1.2, AKCL 1.615
- SGI Iris IRIX 4.0 ACL 4.1 (beta)
- Macintosh System 7 MCL 2.0 (final)
- Sun 4 4.1 AKCL 6.15
-
- There is a tutorial about composing using Stella located in the file
- stella/tutorial/stella-tutorial.rtf
-
- For more information, see the various README files.
