- Argh, no! There's a much less drastic solution. Create a folder
- and paste a custom icon onto it. Using ResEdit or a similar tool,
- make the "Icon" file inside that folder visible (turn off the
- invisible bit). Copy the "Icon" file to the root level of the
- afflicted drive. Make it invisible again. Throw away the folder
- and reboot. Your drive should have an icon again.

- This happened to me not long after System 7 came out and this fix
- worked perfectly.
