- AppleShare 3.0 is probably the biggest jokes ever played on the administrator
- I've ever seen. Who was the genius behind this design? Not everyone has the
- space to devote a special room for a server alone to be locked up because
- someone at Apple forgot to lock up the desktop on AppleShare 3.0. Since I have
- numerous people printing to the spooler, they want to see who's printing what
- and who is next so as to time their printing on letterhead. Which means these
- people have to see the server that the spooler is running on. Okay, sure I've
- found a means of keeping everything safe from nosy neds, but either way, what
- kind of thinking goes into that design????!!!!
-
- I won't get into how unsatisfied I am with AppleShare on the whole. But
- desktop security you would have to at least expect... I guess I must be missing
- something here if this is a feature.
