  11. I ordered System 7.1 on October 21 and received it this past Friday (November
  12. 20).  I have two problems and one observation as a result of the conversion to
  13. 7.1.
  14. FIRST PROBLEM:  My StyleWrite no longer allows background printing.  In fact,
  15. the 7.1 Installer doesn't even load Backgrounder and Print Monitor into the
  16. System Folder.  I added them manually from the distribution disks and it made
  17. no difference.  I even went back to the last printer driver upgrade from Apple,
  18. installed the drivers and old versions of BG and PM, and still nothing.  I'm
  19. back on 7.1 drivers now and can print, but only in foreground.
  20. SECOND PROBLEM:  I ordered the 7.1 disks from Apple the same day I heard about
  21. availability.  I told the clerk that my SE/30 has only low-density floppy
  22. drive, so he arranged to send the 800K disks.  Apparently, most people needing
  23. 800K get the high density diskettes first and then order 800K from Apple. 
  24. Unfortunately, the documentation comes with the high density and not the 800K,
  25. so I had to phone Apple again.  They said they would send me the documentation
  26. promptly.  In the meantime, though, I don't know how to contact Apple for help
  27. with my StyleWriter problem.  I'm under the impression I get some free support
  28. because of purchasing 7.1 but, without the manuals, I don't know what to do
  29. next.
  30. THE OBSERVATION:  After the installation, all of the fonts were moved to the
  31. new fonts folder except for the Geneva fonts which were provided with MacInTax.
  32.  I had to move those fonts manually.

  34. Has anyone with a StyleWriter and 7.1 noticed or solved this problem?
