  12. You need to get DeskWriter Driver version 3.1. This comes with HP's version of
  13. PrintMonitor and fully supports background printing. You also get better gray s
  14. cale printing (256 gray scales versus 16 currently). The driver is free from va
  15. rious ftp sites (I'm sure stanford has it). Or you can call HP and just pay the
