- After a night of thuder storm and all, my Mac SE finally decided to die on me
- before i have several program due and couple articles to write.
-
- When I turned it on this morning, the hard drive spins and all, but there's
- only a white verticle line (about 2-3 pixels wide) in the center of the screen
- the rest of the screen was all dark. After playing with it for a while, i
- believed that the motherboard and harddrive were all ok, since when i do a
- cmmd-O, there's some change in the verticle line (i.e. a window has opened) and
- when i move the cursor to the sleep-now corner, the screen saver comes on (the
- line becomes dark). I opened up the case and tried to adjust the width screw
- on the analog board, but the width of theline didn't change at all.
-
- That's all I can think of right now. Would anyone suggest any other do-it-my-
- self adjustment or repair? Or should i go get a new analog board? (any one
- has one for sale?)
