  21. Please describe these real (or imagined) incompatibilities.  Other than MacTCP
  22. 1.1 and ATM 2.0.3 (but ONLY for fonts in the Fonts folder), absolutely nothing
  23. on my Mac broke.  Illustrator 3.2, Pagemaker 4.2, QuarkXpress 3.1[1], Painter,
  24. Sketcher, ResEdit, MS Word 4.0E, Photoshop 2.01, Mac Paint 2.0, and many, many
  25. PD and shareware programs all work perfectly under System 7.1.

  27. You don't really NEED to go to 7.1, but if you don't need MacTCP I've found
  28. no software (at least on my system) that is plainly _incompatible_ with it;
  29. I'd check for other problems.
