- Just got and sent back System 7.1. Not worth it.
-
- System 7.1 requires you to upgrade virtually all your software, as most
- things will not work properly, or are just plainly incompatible with 7.1,
- including Publish It Easy 2.9, Illustrator 3.2, Ready,Set,Go! 4.5a,
- HyperCard 2.1, Most CD-ROM drivers, Scanner Drivers, Monitor Drivers,
- Printer Drivers, (all non-apple of course), MacLabelPro, After Dark, ATM
- 2.3, OnCue II, Adobe Type Reunion, Adobe Type Align, MacPaint, MacDraw...
-
- ...And many, *MANY* more...
-
-
-
- Seems Apple does not feel $99 for the software upgrade is enough, and also
- wants you to have to pay $$$ for third party upgrades too! Out of 50 some
- applications on our HD, only about 12 of them were "compatible" and of
- them, about four were only "sorta" compatible (i.e. may randomly crash....
-
-
- We called several companies, and found many of them are encouraging Apple
- (oops!) Encouraging people to tell Apple what they can do with System 7.1
- (and I don't mean lower the price either---)
