- I went ahead and installed on my two machines at home. On a classic
- (7.0.1, tuned up, filesharing on) the system grew by something like 10K. On
- my Mac II (7.0, tuned up, filesharing on, PMMU) I got about 10K back.
- It's becoming obvious that memory shifts matter a lot depending on
- what your setup is, from what I gather from the net.
-
- Interestingly enough, my favorite system 7 bug is still there. It's
- the only one I've tried to reproduce.
-
- Open sounds control panel
- Copy a sound
- Go to the Finder
- Choose show clipboard
- Open the Special menu, note that Clean Up Window is enabled
-
- If you really want, choose it and you'll crash with a divide by zero. So
- while the system's probably cleaner, it's certaintly not perfect!
-
- Has anybody tried their favorite (redrawing file sizes, obscuring the
- white around the trash can, and having it not redraw, etc.) bugs to see
- if they're fixed?
