- Hello,
- I use Maxima off and on mainly when I run up against some older
- progrmas that are 32-bit dirty. It works quite well and it largely transparent.
- I do ave a problem with it locking up my system upon choosing RESTART from
- the Specials menu. Without fail no matter if I'm using all of my INITs or none
- of my INITs it will lock up the system. Strangely enough this doesn't happen
- if I choose SHUTDOWN! Other Than that it works great. On other thing is that
- it can be a little confusing because when you choose About this Macinotsh to
- get an idea of the available RAM left, it shows only the largest availble
- contiguous block of RAM not the full amount you have left. Thus it might
- show that you have only 5500k left out of 14meg. But as that block is used
- it will show you the next largest contiguous block and you eventually get
- to use your full 14meg. I hope this helps...
