- In fact, such utilities do exist; two suggested were Norton
- Utilities' FileSaver, and the freeware CommentKeeper init. I
- just grabbed a copy of CommentKeeper (I couldn't seem to find it
- on sumex-aim.stanford.edu as advertised, but it was also at
- mac.archive.umich.edu), and it did the trick. My desktop file is
- finally rebuilt and cleaned up (I wish I could say the same for
- my physical desktop :-( ), my new colorized icons are finally
- showing up, and the comments were all preserved. Thanks to
- Russell Owen, Brian Connell, and Richard C. Long for their
- answers, and kudos to Maurice Volaski for writing CommentKeeper.
