  13. As part of my final year project I need to collect data about the state
  14. of a machintosh whilst being used, The features I need to collect
  15. information about are:-
  16.  
  17.         Changes in applications present on the machine
  18.         Changes in the active application
  19.         Changes in the files present in any application
  20.         Any file accesses
  21.         Changes in the system features/accessories being used
  22.  
  23. the information will be  used part of a pattern recognition procedure
  24. and is a big chunk of my project.
  25. Any suggestions of ways of collecting this data when changes in them
  26. occur would be very gratefully recieved, I am already looking at writing
  27. alternative interupt handlers to monitor I/O activity but this is
  28. something I would rather not do.
