- Actually, what I have heard is that the problem is expense. The cost of
- an 8-bit active matrix color screen would double the price of a
- PowerBook 180. Also I have worked a little with a powerbook 180 and while
- I very much like color, the screen on the 180 is really very nice in my
- opinion. I only find color really necessary when I am working with images
- anyways so if I were to own a 180, I would really never *need* color
- while I was using it as a portable, and if needed color I could always place
- a monitor off of it.
