  18. I think your best bet is to find SOMEONE with an Apple II that has both
  19. 5.25 and 3.5" drives.  I think they're readily available at almost any
  20. elementary school, for example.  Copy your 5.25" disks to 3.5" media
  21. then you can use AFE to convert to Mac format.

  23. There's a neat init at apple.com called "PRODOS file system".  It was
  24. intended to be used with the LC //e card, but works fine on all macs.
  25. It lets you pop a PRODOS 3.5" disk into your mac and have it appear on
  26. the desktop.  Subdirectories appear as folders and can be opened.

  28. If you have ClarisWorks or MacWrite II you can read and write directly to
  29. Apple II PRODOS-formatted disks on your Mac.  This way you wouldn't
  30. have to translate all those disks - you can just access files directly.
  31. My father is using it; he copied all his Apple II files to a folder
  32. on his hard disk and uses things like "On Location" to search for text in
  33. them.  You don't need AFE at all; just pop the Apple II disk in the drive
  34. and drag over the icons you want to copy.
