- Hello:
-
- My girlfriend just purchased a Powerbook 160 4/80. She tried installing
- Afterdark and it doesn't work correctly. The only non-standard thing about
- the configuration is that she has an extra monitor plugged into the video
- out (14" Apple Color Monitor, but it looks more like 13"). The main monitor
- is set the the color monitor.
-
- When demoing, it yelps about not having enough memory. After getting an
- this error, it bombs out. She cannot run Afterdark again unless she
- reboots her Mac. It says, "Afterdark is not installed, to install, restart
- your Macintosh," or something like that. Note: some of the demos did work;
- most did not.
-
- We checked her system by clicking on "About this Mac.." under the upper-left
- apple and the only thing running was the system. It was only consuming
- about 1.5 Mbytes of RAM.
-
- Just for kicks, we started the virtual memory (8 Mbytes total) and this
- had no effect on the errors.
-
- Whattya think? Bogus screensaver?
-
- Please send email. Thank you in advance.
