- That depends on how you're copying the data onto floppies. If you're using
- suntar (available from The Usual Sources), you may well find that the
- workstation's tar(1) and the Mac suntar will allow you to construct tar
- archives which span multiple floppies. This works reliably for me: I use
- the latest suntar (as in suntar-132.hqx) and the normal vendor-supplied tar
- which comes with my HP workstation (HP375, HP-UX 8.00, /bin/tar, "what"
- gives "$Revision: 66.17 $".) The two progs comminicate reliably, with
- Suntar told the tar arcive is "AIX" format. (Yes, I am goint to let the
- authors of Suntar know the details!)
