- The real reason, however, is so that Claris can generate some
- revenue by selling the developer version. These days, it's pretty
- unrealistic to ask that a company continue supporting and improving
- a product that gets given away for free. Simply charging for the existing
- HyperCard limits your audience -- you can't expect everyone to purchase
- HyperCard just to run your stacks. Also, you don't have to pay royalties
- to distribute HyperCard with your product.
