- A friend of mine is thinking of purchasing an LC II and I'm suggesting
- the possibility of saving $ by purchasing a VGA monitor. The LC II would
- have the enhanced VRAM. Here's the costs:
-
- Apple 12" Monochrome $186
- Apple 14" Color $478
-
- VGA Monochrome $115 paperwhite, non-interlaced
- VGA Color $250-$340 up to .28 dot pitch, NI, 1024x768
-
- I do have several questions:
-
- If you connect an LC II to a monochrome VGA monitor, does the system
- display 256 shades of grey?
-
- Does one have to purchase a multisync monitor or will a standard VGA
- monitor do?
-
- I assume that a .28 dot pitch and non-interlaced video
- are the essential requirements. Is anything else of interest?
-
- MAG Innovision and Sony are two monitors I have considered. Any other
- suggestions?
-
- Thanks in advance, Paul
