  12. I have an external hard drive that I would like to take with me on trips, if
  13. possible. I was wondering if any of the electronics gurus on the Net could
  14. tell me what would be involved in converting it to run off battery power.

  16. When I upgraded the hard drive in my PowerBook, I removed the 2.5 inch 20 meg.
  17. Conner drive and bought an external case and power supply to put it in. The
  18. case gets plugged into the wall and runs off AC current. If I were to
  19. construct a crude battery pack, say, a bunch of D-cells taped together, would
  20. they supply enough juice to run the thing on an airplane?
