  24. Apparently many of the new PC's (especially those with an AMI bios) have the
  25. ability to turn off parity checking, and then you can use Mac simmsin a PC.
  26. My x-roommate, in fact, had 4 megs of parity-checking RAM and 4 megs of 
  27. non-parity-checking RAM (Mac simms) in his 386, and it worked fine.. he
  28. had to boot the thing with only parity-checking RAM and turn off the parity
  29. checking in the ROM setup, but then he installed the Mac simms and had 8 megs.
  30. The only problems he really ran into were installing OS/2, but then, what
  31. else would you expect from an OS from IBM?  Actually, he somehow got that to
  32. work, too, and as far as i know, he's still running it that way..
