  11. I couldn't find the genesis of this thread, so this may be redundant.

  13. Under System 7, if the volume is being shared, it cannot be renamed. 
  14. Simply turn off file sharing, rename the volume, and reactivate.  It
  15. took me a while to figure this one out since I couldn't find it in any
  16. of the system documentation.
