- We now have TWO pieces of Rocket software. RocketWARE, and RocketSHARE.
- 'WARE is provided with your Rocket, 'SHARE is $499 extra, and can support
- as many
- Rockets as your power supply can handle.
-
- 'WARE, takes your first Rocket, and uses it to accelerate. 'WARE 2.0 is a
- complete
- overhaul of the 1.x software. Sound is MUCH improved, it uses the
- "Macintosh
- Software Technology" we licensed from Apple, and in general works much
- better then
- 1.x.
-
- 'SHARE launches each Rocket as a seperate computer. For each Rocket in
- your system,
- you effectively have another macintosh. Each Rockets appears as if it
- connected
- to your main computer over AppleTalk. Its screen appears in a scrolling,
- printable
- window. (You can even use Macsbug.) It also uses the "Macintosh Software
- Technology"
- we licensed. You can use File Sharing between them, System 7 IAC, the
- whole shebang.
-
- Using 'WARE 2.0 & 'SHARE, lets you use the first Rocket as an
- accelerator, and the
- other Rockets as 'SHARE Rockets.
-
- Now, to answer your question, if you have RocketShare, you can
- parallelize your
- work in three ways:
-
- 1. By hand. (Just as if you had two computers.)
- 2. Automatically using a program that can distribute its workload using
- IAC.
- (StrataVision, RayDream, Infini-D, NetBuild)
- 3. Using Publish & Subscribe.

-
- QuickTime 1.5: Yes.
-
- MCL 2.0: Don't know.

-
- 2.0 isn't out yet.
-
- We're in the process of getting connected to the internet. When we are,
- there will
- be a radius ftp site. Its also available on AOL, CompuServe, AppleLink.
-
- You can get RocketShare from most Radius dealers, mail order etc.
-
- Our beta site list is full, and it will be out by the time I could get
- you on the
- list anyway.
