  21. At 8-bits for this sort of thing the IIci built-in video will be similar to
  22. a non-accelerated NuBus card (yes, many other things may be slower, but not
  23. scrolling).  You're better off getting a cache card to improve this one, or
  24. looking into accelerated NuBus cards.  Going to a Quadra you'll see a big
  25. difference!  The built-in video on that machine beats accelerated NuBus
  26. cards.

  28. Also, for scrolling performance you can help a lot by dropping to 1-bit
  29. mode.  There are INITs around that let you do this quickly, so you could
  30. drop to 1-bit while navigating around your Word document, and be in 8-bit
  31. lickity-split for Solarian :-)
