- My LaserWriter IIf just stopped working in the middle of a job. The
- indicator lights don't indicate a need for service, but something's wrong.
- Can anypne offer a suggestion as to what the problem might be, and what
- steps I might take before having it serviced?
-
- The Low Toner Level indicator is Flashing. [The manual suggests the
- cartridge is installed improperly.] It had been in for several months, and
- had just printed a page, if fact.
-
- The Paper Jam indicator was on Steady. [The manual says there's a paper jam.]
-
- Neither indicator, alone or together, warrents service according to the
- manual.
-
- I removed the toner - shook the cartridge several times - found very
- little toner there. Looked for a jam - there was none. Installed a brand
- new apple toner cartridge, fired it up and got the same lights.
-
- Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
-
- Thanks in advance.
