  13.   Apple has been selling there 13" monitor for years, and calling it
  14. 13" because that's the viewable portion of the screen, but everyone
  15. else has been selling the same size tube, and calling it 14" 'cause
  16. thats the size of the whole picture tube.  
  17.   When apple introduced their new monitor, same size as the old one
  18. but lighter, brigher, and generally a better design, they decided to
  19. fall in line with the rest of the PR conscious world and start calling
  20. it 14".  In short, you got the " 14" " monitor, it just happens to
  21. be the same size as the 13"... :)
