- I think your model of what people do or want to do with their
- powerbooks is flawed. I think the things people want to do on their
- powerbooks are exactly the same things they do on their desktop
- computers: everything.
-
- I think there are a lot of people who buy a powerbook as their only
- computer and not as an adjunct computer to do some non-CPU intensive
- stuff.
-
- I think there are other people out there who have both desktop and
- powerbook, but want to be able to do the same things on their
- powerbook that they do on their desktop.
-
- One thing I might like to do on a powerbook that requires a FPU is run
- A/UX, especially now that you can have 24MB of memory and a 250MB
- disk. Unfortunately, Apple hasn't released an A/UX that can run on
- the DUO. Even if they did, it would only work when docked since there
- is no FPU in the main unit. Perhaps someone will come out with a tiny
- floppy adapter size dock with an FPU if Apple ever releases a
- Duo-compatible version of A/UX.
-
- I might also like to run games like MacBZone on my Duo which requires
- an FPU.
