- Hello,
- I have owned a mac SE/30 for the past two years now, and
- the older it gets, the slower it seems when compared to the
- newer Macs.
- I know in the PC world, if your motherboard is a high-
- quality piece of engineering, you can pop in a new crystal
- and increase the clock rate of the computer.
- Does any one know of a way to do this for the SE/30. I
- have 80ns SIMMS (5MB), so I don't think that will be a problem,
- but maybe they will. I would like to speed it up to 25MHz,
- from its current speed of 16MHz.
- Can anyone offer help/advice for me. Should I even
- attempt to do it if a kit is available? Will it end up doing
- more harm than good in the long term?
- Tanks-in-advance.
