- Mac IIsi and ci both produce stereo output--TO THE EARPHONE JACK (or
- more properly, the headphone jack). With the exception of the IIsi (and
- maybe some newer machines), sounds played through the built-in speaker
- on sound chip equipped machines play the left channel only. The IIsi is
- (or at least was--I haven't kept up on some of the more recent machines)
- unique in that it actually plays BOTH left and right channels through
- the built-in speaker (it actually mixes the two together). But
- regardless of the Mac, playing the sound THROUGH THE BUILT-IN SPEAKER is
- mono.
