  15. Mac IIsi and ci both produce stereo output--TO THE EARPHONE JACK (or
  16. more properly, the headphone jack).  With the exception of the IIsi (and
  17. maybe some newer machines), sounds played through the built-in speaker
  18. on sound chip equipped machines play the left channel only.  The IIsi is
  19. (or at least was--I haven't kept up on some of the more recent machines)
  20. unique in that it actually plays BOTH left and right channels through
  21. the built-in speaker (it actually mixes the two together).  But
  22. regardless of the Mac, playing the sound THROUGH THE BUILT-IN SPEAKER is
  23. mono.
