- In comp.sys.mac.hardware you write:

-
- The final and ONLY word about the stereo sound capability of the IIvx is as
- follows:
-
- 1. The IIvx has a stereo headphone jack.
- 2. The IIvx plays mono macintosh sounds (beeps, soundtracker, etc.)
- 3. The IIvx/CD ROM plays stereo CD sound since the sound comes from the CD
- 4. The IIvx/CD ROM will mix mono macintosh sound with the stereo CD sound.
-
-
- Apple has NOT covered up the fact that the IIvx has mono macintosh sounds,
- just worded it strangely. The Spec sheet clearly states this fact. It
- has also been stated in MacUser's table of Macintoshes.
-
- The whole fuss about the sound was that many other older macs could play stereo
- macintosh sounds, and the IIvx couldn't -- why?!
-
- I hope this clears up ANY confusion about the IIvx's stereo sound.
