  13. I noticed what appears to be a fairly good buy on a 14"
  14. multisync monitor: $279 for a model by Qume, REFURBISHED,
  15. from Damark.  Resolution to 1024x768.  Damark will sell you
  16. a one year extended warranty for an extra $39; it's not
  17. clear whether you get any warranty with the original price.
  18. Finally, they're waiving the shipping fees until Dec. 31st,
  19. which is nice, and they have a 30 day return period.

  21. If anyone has tried one of these, or has reason to believe
  22. that they will/will not work with a Macintosh (esp.
  23. Powerbook 160/180), send me mail; I'll summarize to the net.

  25. Also, I'd appreciate a pointer to information about building
  26. a cable to connect a multisync monitor to a mac, especially
  27. one that can be changed to fool the mac into thinking it's
  28. seeing a 13", 14", or 16" monitor.
