- I noticed what appears to be a fairly good buy on a 14"
- multisync monitor: $279 for a model by Qume, REFURBISHED,
- from Damark. Resolution to 1024x768. Damark will sell you
- a one year extended warranty for an extra $39; it's not
- clear whether you get any warranty with the original price.
- Finally, they're waiving the shipping fees until Dec. 31st,
- which is nice, and they have a 30 day return period.
-
- If anyone has tried one of these, or has reason to believe
- that they will/will not work with a Macintosh (esp.
- Powerbook 160/180), send me mail; I'll summarize to the net.
-
- Also, I'd appreciate a pointer to information about building
- a cable to connect a multisync monitor to a mac, especially
- one that can be changed to fool the mac into thinking it's
- seeing a 13", 14", or 16" monitor.
-
- If you want Damark's phone number, send me email. I have no
- connection with Damark. I have bought from them in the past
- and have been somewhat disappointed on each occasion.
