- Is there a way to connect an Apple LaserWriter (postscript
- version) to a Macintosh's modem port? I want to be able to
- have a Macintosh that is on the network (and uses its Printer
- port for that purpose) and to have a locally connected LaserWriter.
- Thus this printer will be a private printer.
-
- This is for an Exec of our company that wants his own printer
- but still wants to be on the network.
-
- The Personal LaserWriter LS can be directly connected to the
- modem port but does not support PostScript.
-
- I guess the bottom line problem is that the LaserWriter
- extension (chooser resource/driver) assumes that it should
- use AppleTalk either out the Localtalk/printer port or
- via some other networking scheme line EtherTalk.
-
- Thanks, John
