- I suspect dirt/contamination from your mouse pad, etc. My mouse began feeling
- a little rocky after a couple of months. Although the ball seemed fairly
- clean, I took it apart and looked inside. Both the X and Y rollers had some
- hair and crud wrapped around them. I removed it with some patient work
- with tweezers, and cleaned the rollers as best I could. After reassembly,
- I was rewarded with a mouse that felt like new.
-
- I could of used a small air jet to help blow out the debris. Also, a Qtip
- moistened with alcohol would expedite cleaning the rollers. I would also
- recommend cleaning your mouse pad frequently.
-
- If this is the problem, your new mice are just picking up additional dirt
- from your mouse pad.
