- As part of a lengthy diatribe denigrating the new Macs,
- Joe_D._Ciarcia@fourd.com reports:
-
- >I have recently discovered that the ][vx (sic!) has problems with
- >the serial ports and MIDI.
-
- Regrettably, he does not enumerate the 'problems'. I've just purchased the
- IIvx's close relation, a IIvi, principally for MIDI applications. I've
- been running (evaluation copies of) Cubase, Encore, Lime, Band-in-a-box,
- MIDI manager and anything else I can lay my hands on. I've had no problems
- so far which could be attributed to the hardware.
-
- Regrettably, unfounded speculation and the occasional untruth are all too
- often circulated in this newsgroup as 'fact'. So, Joe, if you have clear,
- substantiated evidence that there is such a problem, we would like to hear
- that evidence. On the other hand, if your statement is simply bar-room (or
- green-room!) gossip, it would be helpful if it were clearly labelled as such.
-
- So please ... specify!
