- Hi everyone,
- I have a question for the PowerBook 170 owners among you. Sometimes when
- I'm using my PB with the backlighting on, the display seems a bit dim
- even when the backlighting is set to maximum brightness. However, it has
- happened when I'm working that suddenly the brightness of the display
- increases. Maximum display brightness does seem somewhat less when you're
- running off of the internal battery. Just now, the display seemed a bit
- dim, and it turns out that I was running off of my battery. I plugged the
- charger cord in without noticing any change, but then suddenly the
- display got brighter when the charge level of my battery was at about 6.8
- volts. Pulling my charger cord out and putting it back in causes the
- display brightness to drop and then to rise again. Has anyone else
- noticed this phenomenon? Please share your observations with me directly
- at mlbizer@bongo.cc.utexas.edu and by posting them to the net.
- Sincerely yours,
- Marc Bizer
