- Probably lots of people will respond to this, but to imply that a
- PeeCee can do something better than a Mac is something I have to
- respond to :-).

- There are several options that I know of. First, if you already have
- a 16 or 24 bit video then get a video spigot card from SuperMac. It
- displays video in and captures Quicktime movies in real-time for about
- $500 American. If what you are interested in is just capturing
- individual frames and you don't already have a 24-bit video card,
- there is the RasterOps 24STV. This has much better single frame
- capture facilities and S-video inputs for less noise. This runs about
- $800. There are also versions of this card that do 16" and bigger
- monitors with sound and accelerated quicktime capture. The 24STV
- actually displays the video without intervention from the Mac. This
- allows full screen real-time viewing of the video intput. And if you
- have very serious full-screen 30 frames per second needs you can buy a
- system from Avid to go with your Quadra 950. I have no idea what this
- goes for since it is a bit out of my range.
