- I have a a IIci purchased new within the last 3 months. It often acts as
- if I was holding the mouse button down when I'm not - especially on the 2nd
- of a double click. Clicking again usually fixes it.
-
- Bad mouse? Maybe, but a friend who has a Quadra of about the same vintage
- says *his* mouse does the same thing.
-
- Mouse on the machine in the next office (just like mine) seems to stop
- working entirely a few times a week.
-
- Also, sometimes when I type very fast, on my extended keyboard, my machine
- hangs. I press interrupt to get into MacsBug and the rest of what I was
- typing appears. I "g" out and eveything is fine after that. First
- observed this when I installed an extended keyboard on my previous machine
- - a IIcx, but I *think* I've seen it on this machine, too - or a close
- relative.
-
- The mouse itself could be flaky, of course, but the keyboard hang sounds
- like something deeper. I wonder whether there is some problem with the
- newer ADB devices/machines etc. (I know I'm babbling here.)
-
- Haven't tried a lot of swapping to isolate problem yet. Problems are very
- intermittent, so it's hard to see effects of changes.
-
- Are other people seeing stuff like this? Is there a pattern here?
-
- Email replies are best.
