  41. The error message you reported said to reformat the disk, which from the rest 
  42. of your question I gather has not been done. Back up your HD then Find the HD 
  43. setup program for the 105M HD and reformat the disk with a 3:1 interleave 
  44. factor, or, some setup programs will just list the type of computers. Due to 
  45. the Plus's slow SCSI interface many drives work much better at 3:1 instead of 
  46. the more typical 1:1 used for most macs since the Mac II. (Someone more 
  47. competent may wish to explain the details of interleave). After reformating 
  48. you should be able to install the System 7 software.
