- I know this subject comes up every now and again, but I want to appeal
- once more. Is there anyone out there with access to the sources for
- the Trapeze program (a no-longer supported spreadsheet from DeltaPoint
- Software) who could recompile it as a 32-bit clean application, assuming
- that is possible? I still run it under System 7.01, but have to turn off
- 32-bit mode to do so. I have tried to use Excel 4.0 but its scalar limitations
- make it weak compared to Trapeze's intuitive use of linear algebraic
- concepts, despite Excel 4's heavily laden set of features. Has anyone
- tried to prepare a histogram with Excel 4? You have to configure a separate
- macro sheet, and it requires a menu operation to run! This is just one
- example to illustrate how far removed Excel is from practical scientific
- and engineering use.
-
- Regards, and may the power of flexible dimensioning be with you:-)
