  13. I have a question about ileMaker Pro speed.
  14. Actually we run this application on a 20 Mac network. The server (where we
  15. store the database files) itself is a Mac Quadra 950 running AppleShare 3.0,
  16. and connected through Ethernet.
  17.  
  18. We always work on the same 4 major databases. Actually, the first user turning
  19. on his Mac starts FileMaker. Then every user is a client to his database.
  20.  
  21. I've heard that letting start FileMaker on the server itself instead of a 
  22. user's Mac with the requested databases is faster.
  23.  
  24. Is it true that we access the dabase faster when running on the server ?
