- Hello,
- I have a question about ileMaker Pro speed.
- Actually we run this application on a 20 Mac network. The server (where we
- store the database files) itself is a Mac Quadra 950 running AppleShare 3.0,
- and connected through Ethernet.
-
- We always work on the same 4 major databases. Actually, the first user turning
- on his Mac starts FileMaker. Then every user is a client to his database.
-
- I've heard that letting start FileMaker on the server itself instead of a
- user's Mac with the requested databases is faster.
-
- Is it true that we access the dabase faster when running on the server ?
-
- Thanks for your help !
-
- Sincerely,
-
- Steve Jordi
