- < Hello. I am currently using Alias Sketch! for modelling / rendering, and
- would like to be able to take my models from Sketch! and animate them.>
-
- It depends on what kind of animation you want to do, and how complex the
- models are. Unfortunately, I haven't yet used Sketch! so have no experience
- with moving models created from Sketch! into MM3D or anything else. The two
- animation programs I use the most are Infini-D and MM3D. I like the way MM3D
- animation is created - I think it's a lot easier to create complicated
- animation with Ease In and Ease Out etc, then it is in Infini-D. However, MM3D
- I find gets bogged down and rather slow when you have complex models. You want
- the fastest Mac you can get with the most memory.
- Infini-D, I think, performs better, but the animation is key frame based, and so I find it harder to create fluid stuff.
- If you've got the bucks, you might want to look at Electric Image, which is similar
- to MM3D in the way you create animations, but performance is better (but you
- could buy a Quadra for the difference in price!)
